stirling cinemas...
Stirling has had may cinemas through the years, from the era of the 'silent movies' to the 'blockbusters' of the modern day.
In the early 1930's there were as many as 6 functioning picture houses within the bounds of the now city of Stirling, most have since been demolished to make way for the ongoing growth of Stirling but one remains, opened in 1938, the Allan Park cinema is still going strong, even though it now houses 'bingo' as well as the cinematic screen.
The newest cinema in Stirling is the MacRobert Arts Centre & Cinema,
the new cinema was opened in 2002, but the main theatre still remains as
a fully functioning cinema and is used to show the latest 'hit' movie to
a larger audience.
